Resources for Finding Information
Information about Companies
Company Reports usually contain a business description, a history of the companies, as well as some discussion of company financials. Our key databases for company reports are:

University information can be found by using the search tool on the university's home page. Try searching for terms such as: diversity mission and vision, student and faculty demographicsstudent diversity programs, staff diversity programs, faculty diversity programs, diversity strategic plans over a 5 year period, diversity celebrations and awards, diversity practices and policies, diversity- related issues and problems.

Latest Developments - News and articles
You can learn a lot about a company or university by reading current newspaper and business articles about it. For instance, you can search the databases below using a company name and words such as diversity, discrimination, multiculturalism, ethnic groups, African Americans, or women.
Find Books

Library Catalog
Use the catalog to find books, videos, recordings, and goverment documents we have at the library.

MelCat

Where is this Journal Article?
Does the library have the specific journal article you need? Let's say you're looking for the following article:

Rynes, S. & Rosen, B. (1995). A field survey of factors affecting the adoption and perceived success of diversity training. Personnel Psychology, 48(2), 247 - 270.

The most direct ways to search are by using the:

  1. Title search in Library OneSearch. Search using the article title -- A field survey of factors affecting the adoption and perceived success of diversity training -- not the title of the journal (Personnel Psychology).
  2. Journal Title in the Find Books -- Journals tab.  Search using the title of the journal - Personnel Psychology - NOT the title of the article.
The results of both searches indicate that the University Library has access to this article in print and online.

If we don't have your article online or in-print, you can order the article through InterLibrary Loan using ILLiad. It's a free service but allow some time for the article to become available.
