E-BOOK COLLECTION: The Library has a large collection of Health & Biological Sciences electronic books. You can search for these using the catalog and limit to electronic book.

JOURNALS:
You can also view the relevent eJournals collections: Health & Biological Science journals and publisher journal packages.
To determine whether the library subscribes to a particular journal either electronically or in paper search by journal title in the catalog.

CITATION SEARCHING:
Use the Citation Linker to locate an exact citation.

If we don't have your article electronically or in print try borrowing through InterLibrary Loan.

Restricted to OU students, faculty, and staff CINAHL Complete is a comprehensive and highly-authoritative database for research in nursing and health sciences. 
Restricted to OU students, faculty, and staff SPORTDiscus  Topics include physical fitness, exercise, sports medicine, kinesiology, biomechanics, movement science, physical therapy, rehabilitation, nutrition, exercise physiology, sport psychology.

EBP databases:
Restricted to OU students, faculty, and staff Cochrane Library  A collection of databases that contain evidence for healthcare decision-making. Includes systematic review abstracts, technology assessments, economic evaluations and individual clinical trials.   How to export to Refworks.

Unrestricted Resource PEDro
The Physiotherapy Evidence Database provides information on "randomised controlled trials, systematic reviews and evidence-based clinical practice guidelines in physiotherapy."
Restricted to OU students, faculty, and staff JAMA Evidence
JAMAevidence is an instructional resource from the American Medical Association covering the fundamental concepts of evidence-based medicine (EBM). Includes downloadable PowerPoint slide sets for teaching, as well and the full electronic text of the book, Users' Guides to the Medical Literature: A Manual for Evidence-Based Clinical Practice by Gordon Guyatt. Note: Limited to 2 concurrent users.

HealthScience: Sage Full-text includes the full text of 26 journals published by SAGE and participating societies, encompassing over 46,000 articles and up to 129 years of backfiles.

Restricted to OU students, faculty, and staff PsycINFO
PsycINFO provides access to international literature in psychology and related disciplines such as psychiatry, education, business, medicine, nursing, pharmacology, law, linguistics, and social work.

Restricted to OU students, faculty, and staff Web of Science provides access to Science Citation Index (SCI) and is one of the best resources to perform cited reference searches (locate articles that cite an earlier publication). How to export to RefWorks

National Guideline Clearinghouse is a public resource for evidence-based clinical practice guidelines.

The NHS Clinical Knowledge Summaries (formerly PRODIGY) are a reliable source of evidence-based information and practical 'know how' about the common conditions managed in primary care. (UK based)

TRIP
A free clinical search tool designed to allow health professionals to rapidly identify the highest quality clinical evidence for clinical practice. Simultaneously searches several evidence-based sources of systematic reviews, practice guidelines, and critically-appraised topics and articles. Also searches MEDLINE's Clinical Queries, medical image databases, e-textbooks, and patient information leaflets.

Citation Tools
Kresge Library subcriptions include free access for the OU community to both RefWorks. This online personal database of references helps you generate a bibliography from your list of references automatically formatted in any common citation style.
