Where can I find a scholarly book?
How do I get access to it?
Library OneSearch has a peer review filter, but it narrows results to articles and elimiates books. One thing you could try instead would be to include the phrase “university press” in your search. Enter your search terms including the phrase "university press" (don’t forget the quotation marks!) and click the Search button. Once the search returns your results, click the Books filter on the left side. This will refresh your search results, narrowing them down to only books.
This method has its limits-- not all scholarly presses have "university" in the name. Most books found at Kresge would be considered scholarly sources, but it would be wise to make sure that the book you want to use is an appropriate choice.
