Using Professional Development Collection
Professional Development Collection
is a database containing full-text articles from both popular and scholarly sources, primarily in the fields of business, education, health and medicine, humanities, social sciences, and technology. A complete list of magazines and journals included in the database can be found here
. A list of educational reports and other sources also included in this database can be found here
Start by typing your search term(s) in the search field.
Your search results will look something like this:
Each result will indicate what kind of source it comes from. The articles shown here all come from academic journals. Each result will also include a link to the full text of the article if available. You can use the folder icon (highlighted on the right) to save specific search results in a folder. You can print, save, or e-mail the contents of a folder.
You can also refine your search results by limiting your search to records that have full text availability, are peer reviewed, or are cover stories. You can further narrow down records by the publication date, subject and other options by using the drop-down menus on the left-hand side of the results page.
You’ll also find a list of search results from Newswires and Web News on the right hand side of the search results page. This is helpful for finding current news stories related to a particular topic.
